Sig - a "So So Happy" Moody

I have found my new inspiration for the next series of amigurumis. This super cute website - So So Happy!
I had taken a picture of their characters over a year ago on the back of a memory card we purchased. I never caught the name of the company who made them though.

Recently, we were at Wal-Mart and saw their merchandise again! This time with website attached. I quickly took some pictures and have been inspired ever since. This character is from the Moodees. The opposite of the Friendlees. He's a crabby little guy! Always roaring, never happy.

His design was a little time-consuming, but the overall project is worth the time.
I just love him! Maybe he'll love me back...

Enjoy!

Body with 1st leg completed
Before beginning 2nd leg, prep and place the eyes.
1. Cut out 2 circles of white felt that are just a bit larger than the eyes you have chosen. Cut a small slit in the felt and push the stem of the eye through the slit.

Then, place the large spike on the head. Pin in place.

Using the horn for reference, mark where you’d like the eyes to go.

2. Place eyes on the body where you marked them.

3. Next, stuff body half way and first leg firmly. You will want to leave a little space around the 2nd leg to work your stitches.
4. After stuffing first leg, use the long tail to sew the foot closed.
Begin 2nd leg:
Rnd 1: Sl st in first sc on front of body and sc in same sp, sc in remaining 17 sc around – 18 sc.
Rnd 2: Reaching across gap, sc in first sc, sc in remaining 17 sc around – 18 sc.

Rnd 8: (sc2tog) around – 6 sc.
Sl st in next st. Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Sew foot closed.
(If it bothers you, take a small length of black yarn and sew up the small hole that forms between the legs as well.)

Assembly:
1. Gather your body piece, arms, horns (3), and tummy oval.
2. Horns: Pin each horn to the top of the head. Sew using the long tails from each horn.

Horns, eye, and mouth completed
3. Make the mouth: Cut a medium size oval out of the red felt, a small oval out of the black felt and a tooth-  shaped piece out of the white felt.
4. Using the fabric glue, glue the tooth piece to the top of the red oval and the small black oval to the bottom. Glue the red oval to the body, just below the eyes.
5. Left eye: (With the front of the body facing you) For the left eye, cut out a black circle from the black felt, slightly larger than the white circle cut for the eye. Cut the black circle in half. Glue the half circle over the left eye. (It’s a good idea to pin the edges of this half circle down until the glue is dry.
6. Tummy oval: Place and pin the tummy oval 2 rows down from the bottom of the red oval mouth. Sew in place using the long tail.
Tummy oval ready for sewing
7. Place and pin the arms in line with the black oval in the mouth. Sew in place using the long tail.
